Tamilnadu Petroproducts Limited Goes Live with RISE with SAP, EY Leads Transformation Initiative

Chennai: Tamilnadu Petroproducts Limited has successfully gone live with RISE with SAP, marking a major milestone in its enterprise-wide digital transformation journey. The implementation was supported by Ernst & Young (EY) as the transformation partner.

The go-live represents more than a technology upgrade, signaling a comprehensive business transformation across the organization. Operating within a complex, multi-technology landscape, the program also involved the consolidation of three separate company codes into a single unified entity—enabling standardized processes, improved financial consolidation, and stronger governance.

In parallel with the SAP S/4HANA transformation, TPL executed multiple digital initiatives simultaneously. This coordinated approach has been described as one of the smoothest and most efficiently managed S/4HANA go-live programs, reflecting robust planning, seamless execution, and strong collaboration between business, IT, and transformation teams.

The newly deployed digital core is expected to deliver significant business benefits, including enhanced scalability to support future innovation and AI adoption, real-time insights for faster decision-making, and improved system performance and operational efficiency.

Commenting on the successful go-live, D Senthi Kumar expressed appreciation for the collective efforts behind the transformation. He stated that the company is grateful to all core team members, steering committee participants, and stakeholders who contributed to achieving this milestone and supporting the change management process.

He also acknowledged the role of Ernst & Young (EY) as the consulting partner, highlighting that their technical expertise and experience played a crucial role in ensuring the project was completed on time and without hurdles.

With the RISE with SAP platform now in place, Tamilnadu Petroproducts Limited is well-positioned to accelerate the next phase of its digital roadmap, focusing on innovation, agility, and long-term value creation.

The company extended its gratitude to all internal teams and partners involved, emphasizing that the achievement stands as a testament to strong collaboration, disciplined execution, and a shared commitment to excellence in driving large-scale digital transformation in India’s industrial sector.
